Carpets from the town of Isfahan

Isfahan is situated in the center of Iran and sits at an altitude of over 1500 meters. It was the capital of Persia right until
the end of the XIXth century. Carpets from this town boast a concentration of knots, with between 600 000 and 1.000.000
knots/m_, as well as a delicate yet resilient wool which delights through its suppleness and shine. They have curved patterns
and a silk weave. Natural silk is added to the wool to bring it to life. Isfahan carpets are amongst the most beautiful in Iran.
